Hawaii is an archipelago of volcanic islands in the central Pacific Ocean. It is the only U.S. state made up of islands. The state is made up of eight main islands: Oahu, Maui, Kauai, Molokai, Lanai, Niihau, Big Island, and Kahoolawe. The capital of Hawaii is Honolulu, which is located on the island of Oahu. Hawaii is renowned for its beautiful beaches, stunning scenery, and diverse culture.
Maui, the "Valley Isle", is the second-largest island, famed for its beautiful beaches, lush rainforests, and towering volcanoes.
Oahu, also known as "The Gathering Place", is the third-largest island with beautiful beaches and historic landmarks.
The Big Island is the largest and most diverse of the islands. Known for active volcanoes, black sand beaches, and rainforests.
The "Garden Isle", is the oldest and northernmost of the islands, with lush rainforests, dramatic cliffs, and secluded beaches.
Lanai is the smallest of the major Hawaiian islands, famous for its secluded beaches, luxury resorts, and pineapple plantations.
Hawaii has a tropical climate, with warm temperatures and plenty of sunshine year-round. The average temperature in Honolulu is 26°C (79°F), with highs of 30°C (86°F) and lows of 22°C (72°F). The warmest months are July and August, and the coolest months are December and January.
The best time to go to Hawaii depends on what you want to do. If you want to avoid the crowds, the shoulder seasons (April to May and September to October) are a good option. If you want to go whale watching, the best time is from December to April. And if you want to surf, the best time is from October to April.
