  • How do we find low car hire prices?

We compare prices from all the major brands such as Alamo, Avis, Budget, Enterprise, Europcar, Hertz, National, Dollar, Sixt, Thrifty and more to find you the best deal.

  • Which kinds of vehicles cars can I hire?

You can find deals on economy/compact, medium/intermediate, large/full size cars, SUV’s, people movers/minivans, convertibles, and premium/luxury vehicles.

  • What size car should I rent?

You'll enjoy your rental far more if you choose a car with plenty of room for your passengers and luggage, especially if on say a self-drive tour.

  • What do I need to rent a car?

To book your car, all you need is a credit card or debit card.

When you pick the car up, you'll need:

    • A voucher or eVoucher proving payment for the automobile.
    • Credit card of the primary driver with sufficient available funds to cover the car's deposit.
    • Each driver's complete, valid, driving licence.
    • Your passport and any other identification required by the car rental company.
  • Can I hire a car without a credit card?

t is uncommon to rent a car without a credit card, but it is not impossible. Numerous agencies permit airport car rentals with a debit card if you can provide proof of return travel. Be aware that the agency may conduct a credit check and will likely place a hold on your account as a security deposit. Before making a reservation, it is always a good idea to confirm the debit card payment terms with the rental agency.

  • What’s included in the rental price?

Many rentals include Theft Protection, Collision Damage Waiver (CDW), local taxes, airport surcharges, and any applicable road fees. You will be charged for any 'extras' when you pick up your car, as well as any young driver, additional driver, or one-way fees – but we will explain any additional costs beforehand. Tip: Taking your own child seats or GPS can be an easy way to reduce your costs.

  • Is it cheaper to hire a car at the airport or off-site?

Generally, off-site airport locations offer the best deals, although this is not always the case. Some off-site car rental agencies provide an airport shuttle service.

  • Can I return a hire car to a different location?

You’ll be able to enter separate pick-up and drop-off locations online. This is termed a “one-way hire”. Within the results we will provide the one-way drop-off fee, if applicable.

  • Can I drive across borders in a hire car?

n the United States, driving across state lines or the Canadian border is typically not a problem. However, it is unlikely that you will be permitted to take the rental vehicle into Mexico.

If you wish to travel from one country to another within Europe, you will be required to pay a border crossing fee. Failure to do so will likely void your car rental insurance.

In general, crossing borders in Africa and Asia is more difficult and requires additional documentation. We recommend always informing the rental agency of your itinerary.

  • How old do I have to be to rent a car?

The minimum legal age to rent a car varies from country to country. In the United States and Canada, the minimum driving age is typically 21. Nonetheless, some states and provinces permit drivers as young as 18 to rent a car.

In Europe and Asia, the minimum age ranges from 18 to 21 years old, although some agencies may require drivers to be at least 25 years old.

Keep in mind that most rental agencies charge daily fees for drivers under the age of 25 or over 70 years old.

  • Can new drivers rent a vehicle?

Each car rental company has different policies for new drivers. While some companies require drivers to have held a valid licence for at least one year, others only require a valid licence for the duration of the rental period. We recommend that new drivers confirm the requirements with the car rental agency directly.

  • Can I cancel a reservation?

Most suppliers will permit cancellations without penalty up to 48 or 72 hours prior to rental. However, this can vary; we recommend reading the suppliers terms and conditions.

For unused rentals that are not cancelled prior to the destination pick-up time, a 100 percent no-show fee will be assessed.
