Central Maui is home to the island's capital, Wailuku, as well as the Iao Valley, a popular spot for hiking and sightseeing. East Maui is home to Haleakala National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Maui has a warm climate, with average temperatures ranging from the mid-70s to the mid-80s Fahrenheit. The hottest months are July and August when temperatures can reach the mid-90s. The coolest months are December and January when temperatures can drop into the low 70s.

It can get crowded during peak season, especially during the summer months and during major events. If you want to avoid the crowds, consider visiting during the shoulder seasons (spring and autumn).
